Birch Beaudet

Birch Beaudet joined Wilburforce in 1999 as Program Officer for Evaluation, became Associate Director in 2002, and served as Executive Director from 2017 through 2023. He worked in nonprofit leadership roles throughout his career, most notably in organizations dedicated to the environment and social justice. During his tenure as Executive Director, he served on the board of the Environmental Grantmakers Association and the Center for Effective Philanthropy. He earned a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University in 1996, and later served on the program’s Visiting Committee and as adjunct faculty. In his retirement, he and his husband have created Dog Woods, a nature preserve on Guemes Island that is restoring previously logged lands while fostering connections between the community and the original Coast Salish stewards.
